Frequently Recommended Lenses

I like the idea, although  I would probably start with the the 55-250 mm and the F1.8 50 mm. I would also inlcude a discussion of the  kit lens as it appears to be commonly maligned by salesman looking for a nice commission

I know there are lens forums but this is really the beginners forum and questions about lenses are some of the most common questions we get. Coming here first is probably a bit less intimidating than then the lens forums.
