Since moving entirely to Olympus/Panasonic Micro four thirds I would like suggestions of a "good" tripod. I am currently selling my Manfrotto 055XPROB and Manfrotto 808RC4 on eBay and want something considerable lighter than it. The one I am selling is certainly an excellent tripod but just too massive and heavy for the OMD system, particularly when traveling and onsite photography. I do though really like the feature where the center boom can be set horizontally.
Any suggestions would be good with a price range of around $200.00 to $300.00.
Another question too is to those of you who may have a carbon/fiber model and whether it is worth the extra cost.
Thanks to all

Take a hard look at the Sirui T-1205x. I have their T-025X (which doesn't have the telescoping center column, and I love it. 5-section legs, very well made, super light, and you can get them on e-bay with a G-10 ball head (pretty good and well suited for travel) for about $280.
In my estimation, there isn't a better value in the market.

The Sirui T-1205X is in the same series as the T-2204 I referenced earlier- however the differences are that the -04 is a 4 leg section tripod vs. the -05's 5 section leg setup- and slightly heavier tubes... the end result is a stronger, more stable tripod. The -04 is also a bit longer because it only has 4 leg sections. The 22 series also has the option of using spiked feet vs. the 12 series- which doesn't.
