The real reason most of us want a FF Pentax DSLR is that it will give us multiple new lenses for $0. eg. My 135mm becomes a 135mm + a 200mm depending on which camera I put it on. My 28mm becomes a 28mm as well as a 42mm.

To heck with that, I want to shoot in a pitch black room at 300k iso. We can bet the farm with the K5 boasting a 51k iso that a pentax FF would hit the high note. Give me a 300k iso filterless 24mp FF and I will pay what they want.

If you want same IQ at 300k ISO as K5 with 51k, you will need a FF 645D with CMOS sensor. It will probably cost $50k.

For shooting black cats in a coal mine, using ambient light?

You don't need a camera for that. You can just buy a black paper.
