When I took my new Sigma 500/4.5 first time out I was really confused how to transport it in my car. I do have my favorite padded LowPro and MountainSmith waist bags along with a few slings and backpacks, but they all are too small. To carry the lens and a camera, while shooting, I purchased CarrySpeed FS-Pro Camera Sling which I found great. But how to handle it in the car or when I travel?
There is solution what I came up with. This Pelican case takes 500/4.5, three more medium sized lenses including FA*300/4.5, two cameras: K-5 and K-01, and a couple of small primes or teleconverters. It is very tough, well protected, and even has a wheels and travel handle. And I don't hesitate to keep it in the trunk of my car anymore.
