Need help saving Aperture photo library to external hard drive

I have about 25,000 photos in Aperture.  I want to get them off my internal hard drive and onto my external-the same way I have my videos.  I'd like to be able to easily open Aperture and access any of the photos from the external hard drive.

What is the best way to do this?
