There isn't much that seperates the A77 and NEX7

I guess the real point is that I believed the NEX 7 could in fact replace my SLR, on paper it looked like it would, but it didn't.
Look at it this way, the NEX 7 and A77 are aside from the cosmetics of the body, identical cameras technically sharing the same sensor and EVF, agreed? No one would argue that the A77 couldn't replace a Nikon D700, its just Sony's version of an APSC sensored SLR. That was my reasoning for the NEX7, it's the guts of the A77 in a smaller package. Had Sony put the A77s controls on the NEX7, I believe they would have had a much more capable machine.
As an image making machine the NEX7 is a winner, its ergonomics IMHO relegate it to a very fancy, somewhat over complicated over thought out point and shoot.
