You are really comparing CDAF to PDAF.

It is common knowedge that PDAF is faster and CDAF is more accurate.

Comparing Fuji implementation of CDAF to other mirrorless cameras with CDAF, the Fuji is slower than most and accuracy is about the same.

You seem to need others to like your camera. I don't care what others think of Fuji cameras. I accept the X cameras with the good and bad points. I can live with slow AF and avoid smeared Adobe processing because there are other things that I do like.

As a side note, if you are going to write this kind of advertising copy for Fuji, then you should know the difference between "mute" and "moot".

You posted great images, as usual - very nice.

You be well advised to stick to topic Randy and stop trying to cause dissension

Your post was about 2 things: 1) Fuji AF and 2) how much you love your camera. My reply was directly on topic to both points.

I am not here to stir the pot. I appreciate good open discussion, by which forum members help other members. I don't appreciate those who are always negative and constantly bash a certain brand of camera. I equally dislike fanboys who jump into threads just to say that the problem being discussed is not really a problem. Neither trolls nor fanboys offer much value to the forum. Just because I don't praise Fuji with every breath does not mean I am trying to cause dissension.

I think the point that was being made was on how accurate the AF is when it locks on....a point that is often missed as people rant about the AF speed. I too come from the DSLR world where my 5D2 was largely innacurate...whereby the high speed of the AF becomes irrelevant if it doesn't focus where you want it.

Nobody is saying the AF isn't slower than it could be, but it's an important to note that it is very accurate when you lock on...with any focus point. This is something many DSLR users are not aware of. Just because someone has some positive things to say doesn't mean they're writing copy for Fuji....so chill out.
