Quick question for people using live view focus on D800 and/or D600

I focus wide open in LV (like my old view camera days) then stop down to have a peek.

Next, I turn LV off, close the viewfinder curtain, stand back and shoot M-UP with cable release - again like my old view camera days.  This method enables fast writes to the card.

Now, if Nikon would only refresh their T/S line to include independent axis movement like Canon I'll be a very happy shooter - nearly all the benefits of view camera work at a fraction of the weight for this old guy!
