Hi, I'll try to answer one of your questions regarding flash sync speeds. I've tried Sony's compact HVL-F20AM mounted in the RX1's hot shoe via the ADP-MAA adapter (adapts Sony's old hot shoe for which the flash was designed, to the new, standard hot shoe). This flash will sync all the way up to the RX1's maximum shutter speed of 1/4000s.
