GH3 - "Write Error - Please check the card"

Hmmm...
So, last night after in-camera formatting my SD card, I took about 5 shots and then the camera locked up with "Write Error - Please check the card" on the screen.
The card is a brand new 16GB SanDisk Extreme Pro which was I picked up on sale for about half price recently at Future Shop.
I've never encountered an error like that before on any camera I've owned so I was a bit worried when I saw that one. From what I've read in the manual, it is a card error rather than a camera glitch. I turned off the camera, removed and reinstalled the card and it seemed fine after that. The card and the "pins" looked fine physically.
Has anyone encountered that error before?
