Quick question for people using live view focus on D800 and/or D600

"ultra crispy live view focus"???

what is that anyway? i use live view with manual focus all the time when using a tripod.  the d600 works fine. you can zoom "in" and see the focus point.  you can move the focus point anywhere you want.  what are you expecting?  naturally, if you're using live view AF, it is slow.

the other drawback i can see with nikon live-view is that in M mode, changing the aperture/shutter speed has no effect on the display on the lcd.  some other cameras give you a more wysiwyg.  maybe there's an option setting to enable/disable this.
