Final shots of 2012

A question to you, Stephen - I have read at many places that Sony HX 200v images tend to have a digital feel and not very natural looking ( may be too much in-camera sharpening).  What has been your experience ? Are the images good enough for viewing on HDTV or computer and printing max. 8x10s ?  In your opinion,  does Canon SX 50 images have a better DR and a nice softer look ?

I regularly view your posts and hence your  personal experience on Sony HX 200V will be appreciated ( regarding its IQ).
