A FF sensor is BIGGER, the G15 sensor is just (a bit) bigger. App. 48% bigger, which translated to stops is a bit more than half a stop (which really isn't that much).
Of course, but even a bit bigger probably means a significant plus in volume, weight and price !
That FF jewel weights about 16kg and costs (if I'm remembering right) $120000 !
