help me to understand the 60mm Macro

I was reading some posts in order to understand which lens could be the next one to buy (i'm actually on the kit lens on OMD).

I was not even looking to the 60mm MACRO because from my small knowledge i was thinking was useful only for macro photography.

I start to realize that at the end of the day you can take panorama pics, portrait etc.

so my stupid question is: what is the difference between a 60mm and 60mm macro?
