OM-D

OM-D represents an Olympus range/class which only has one model at the moment, the E-M5. So there is no ambiguity in referring to it as either.
However, it is the OM-D range/class feature set (Built in EVF, 5 axis IBIS, Weather sealed, Control set, Grip set, Performance level, etc) that are the headline grabbers and main talking points at the moment, so it makes more sense in many contexts to refer to it as the OM-D.
And the same will still be true in the future, in many discussions it will make sense to be talking about the OM-D range/class to represent it's feature set, with specific models adding context where appropriate. A good parallel to this is the iPhone. In many contexts, it makes sense to refer to it as the iPhone or Apple's iPhone, like I just did. While in other contexts it will make more sense to refer to it by a specific model, for example:
Lumix GH4 vs OM-D EM-6 (but shortened by convention to GH4 vs EM-6)
Galaxy S3 vs iPhone 5.
Alternatively, you could just call it DPR's Readers Choice - Camera of the year 2012 !!

I know the convention seems to have developed to refer to the above camera as the OM-D (plus multiple variants thereof), but as far as I'm concerned it will always be the E-M5 on the basis that OM-D is the model line (like PEN to the E-P3 etc).
As another thread on this topic has reached the maximum number of posts it occurred to me (for fun) to raise a quick question (in a non-confrontational kind of way) as to what people call the "above referenced camera"
Like I said earlier, no one needs to have a coronary about this , but
1) What do people refer to the camera as now?
2) What will people call the camera once Olympus releases further OM-D bodies?
