Is The 16-50 any good?

I am also very happy with it. It was the kit lens for my nex6, a camera which I just love! The pics are very good and the videos and pictures shown on my 55hd samsung 3d lcd are awesome. Considering the results for its size I have no complaints. And to add to that I'm a fan of sonys clear zoom feature. But the delay in closing the lens is a fix that I would like to see but does not take away from how the lens does.
