75 mm 1.8 autofocus speed?

I got the 75 mm for Christmas and have only had a couple opportunities to use it. But it seems like the autofocus is much slower than my 45 mm and 25 mm. Is that normal?  It's not happening every shot but more than I would expect. It's also fairly noisy while focusing. I am using it on the em5.
