Sorry to get off track with Nikon pics on the Sony forum. Only to show you that D600 does not wash out colors, the lens makes a difference. This is an old 24-50D, no washed out colors with this lens

Different lighting conditions lead to different results. This shot has more indirect lighting than is seen in the pictures of the OP.
Both pics had very similar lighting. This was a cloudy day and the houses had the Sun to the side/back
