Hello,

I just got my first auto focus lens from Adorama.

I hear a clicking noise when the camera/lens focuses.

I am not sure if this is ok as this is a AF-S lens.

I am using it with D600 (my first DSLR, 50 mm prime was my only lens).

The auto focus itself is quite fast.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Nit

It's the VR. Try turning it off and testing AF, it will be silent, I thought the same thing as you did when I first used the 80-400 years ago.
