Lenses: Old verses New

I've been shooting Leica's since the 70's and my lenses are from the 70's and 80's. I finally picked up a M9-P and wonder if I need to upgrade my glass?  I'm shooting a 35mm Summicron f2 (Canada) and a 50mm Elmar f2.8 (collapsable).  Both look good to me on the new camera and have served me well over the years, but does the digital camera mean changing to newer lenses?  Does it really make that much of a difference?  I'm also using a 28mm f2.8 Rokkor from an old CL camera.  I'm not opposed to making the switch if it's worth the money.
