I bought an old Sigma-for-Minolta 24mm "super wide" f2.8 as a stopgap while I waited for someone to produce a modern cheap and extremely good 24mm with wider aperture. It turned out to be sufficiently good that I'm wondering if it would really be worth ten times the price to gain a marginal performance increase.
