1Diin and 7D v 1Diin and 60D

I currently use a 1Diin and a 550D, giving me a mixture if speed, portability, resolution etc.

After a recent serious illness, I have decided that I should get the gear I want to get aNd spend more time taking photographs! As a result of this, I will shortly be investing in either a 1Diii or a 7D. I have to say, I love the feel of 1D cameras, but also value travelling light when the occasion demands. I shoot variety of stuff, butGDP like people and wildlife photography. I am planning 4 weeks in Africa next Summer. I use a variety of lenses, including 200 2.8 and 100-400, as well as 35 F2 and standard zooms.

Any thoughts? Of course, I could go mad and get both bodies!
