Bada OS apps ?

Just realised that my Samsung Wave phone (GT-S5250) runs on something called "bada 1.1" software. I've had the phone for two years - but never really delved into its "smart" capabilities 'til recently when I tried installing some android apps (traffic, maps etc). Seems  bada is not compatible with Android apps. I presume I can't change the operating system - so are there any bada-friendly apps out there WITHOUT having to go through the agony of using Samsung kies ?
