d7000 vs d300, motorbike racing

Well. took the plunge, got a D300 on Christmas Day - ebay, ending 2.15 Christmas Day, got it for a steal at £330 posted with 30k clicks on it.  Nice camera (my one was used by a smoker, which is a shame, but I'll probably shove it in a bag with a neutralising air freshener), and a million miles away from the D60 I was playing with.  Got some nice photos out for a walk on New Year's day at a Surrey beauty spot with a couple of really old lenses.  Learned fast that you need to check what ISO you've left it at, as 800 can be a bit noisy.  Also learned how to photoshop noise out.

Don't think I'll be looking back wondering why I didn't spend twice as much on a D7000.  £300 should buy me some quite nice lenses, when I can get the approval from the Mrs.
