Should I exchange the SX50 for something better in low light and action mode??????

Considering that you said that you do mostly family and friends photography and are not really into wildlife photography at this point, you probably would be better served by a camera with a faster lens.  As was suggested, something with a f/2.8 lens would probably be a good choice.  This doesn’t mean that the SX50 isn’t a good camera, just not the best one for you.
