Which disk set up is worth considering?

Now it is time for me to upgrade (it comes to us all every few years!) and I have the new components, but I'm looking for advice as to whether my considered configuration is worth the 'trouble'!
Fairly standard i7 3770K on an Asus X77 motherboard (Sabertooth) and I'm sticking with my current Asus 5850 graphics (saves a bit of money and I'm not into games!). Also, I can easily swap that out if needed in the future.
However, I have 32Gb ram and going to use half for a RAM drive. Also, I have two 128GB SSD drives and two 500Gb 10000rpm SATA drives, which is where my dilemma arises.
My original idea was to make this build as responsive as possible, so I intended creating 2 RAID0 drives with both the SSDs and the SATAs. The OS would reside on the SSD and my work files on the SATA. Temporay files would be directed to the RAM drive. Duplicate daily backup to 2 NAS drives would protect all but the current work in the event of drive failure, but I'm wondering if the use of these drives in such a fashion would be the optimum, if it is 'overkill' (bottlenecks elsewhere), or the gains would be barley noticable so that standard single drives makes more sense.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's observations or recommendations.
