When you factor in how hard it is to get good underwater pictures ( need clear water and light and a subject that does not swim away) Plus I live here in PA so getting to the water is a huge effort and expense so every minute underwater is very valuable, and I did want to spend my time fooling with a camera.
So gave up on underwater housing and underwater photograph as a whole.
My advice is to go to B & H photo and click on the Underwater Equiment section and get a camera just for underwater work. Their are many options under 300 dollars.
