Where did I go wrong

Ah the fog begins to clear. i checked out shooting fireworks on Google and it lead me to a post on this forum and there was a section in it I think copied from an Olympus blurb regarding Fireworks scene mode and it stated among other things that the camera was set to infinity. It was a fairly old post and I guess something has changed in the later cameras. Thanks for taking the time to check it out Guy. Much appreciated.
