D800E + Nikkor 70-300 VR

I may have sounded grumpy, but pro glass is great, especially for circumstances just such as you describe. The problem I have with the 70-200 is that it doesn't go to 300 and costs a bundle. I would much rather have a more conservative ratio on the order of 150-300VR such that the corners could be sharp at 300, but that appears unlikely.
