As a d800e owner who has experienced the same exact issue, I tell you need to send your camera in to Nikon for repair. Without question, your camera is faulty. I experienced this same exact issue with my Nikon 28g, which is now perfect on my factory repaired camera. It takes 19 days door to door for the repair. Yes only some d800's have this problem, but in reality it's only visible at wide apertures anyways. At f/11 and infinity, everything is sharp no matter what on any modern wide angle lens. Bite the bullet and get your camera fixed, it sucks but it makes your camera whole.

Hi Epic,

You mean the edge/corner AF issue? I sent my D800 in to Nikon for service recently, and this is how it came back. Previously the left AF on my D800 was way, way off with this lens. Now left and right are equal, but they are still off. So you think Nikon can fix this?
