Inexpensive waterproof camera???

I posted this question in another forum with no results, so I'm trying this one ...

I'm looking for an inexpensive (<$150USD) underwater camera. I found a number of these in the $200-$300 range. Also, an underwater housing for any of my various digital cameras would cost over $200.

I'm going snorkeling in Hawaii soon. I don't need waterproofing beyond 3 meters. In the past I've used the disposal underwater film cameras. They cost about $15 each so I could go that route and buy two or three of these cameras. Then there's the cost of film development and prints. I can do all this for well under $100. Of course, a digital camera offers many advantages that you don't get in disposal film cameras.

Except for the occasional snorkeling trip once every few years, I don't have a need for a waterproof camera on a regular basis.

Any suggestions on a brand that sells for under $150?
