T4i to 6D

Thanks GMussio, this is quite helpful. I actually rarely used the articulated screen on my G11, but when I needed it, it was indeed handy. Among the uses is lifting the camera above a crowd when filming a band, and being able to articulate the screen downward. The iPhone idea seems pretty interesting.

I do love the 24-70 f/2.8. The way it lets in warm light is brilliant. The reason I own that is that I once had a Rebel XTi, my first and only other DSLR. It was stolen some years ago, along with my Sigma 35mm 1.4, which was a great lens. Luckily, the 24-70 wasn't on the camera. It sat in a drawer for 3 years.

As I was awaiting a new dream camera (which has yet to be invented for a price range I can afford), I used a G11. I was never very happy with it (but I loved earlier Gs). The T4i gives a lot of bang for the buck. If I go FF, I thought the 24-105 might be helpful since I'll be losing zoom. It's also IS, so gives an f-stop or two there also. However, it's not the same as a 2.8 aperture, to be sure.

I know pros kind of sneer at onboard flash, but I just don't want to lug around a flash (although I do own one). However, with very high ISO, won't need it as much.
