Stephen: I have a couple of questions for you, and maybe some help? What do you plan to do with this once it's finished? There are too many places where the text is too close to the photos and one place where the photos overlap, for this kind of presentation they really shouldn't. Also a white background with black text would be best, easier to read. There are too many grammar and spelling errors to comment on them, you really need to go over it again, or have an editor do that. Also you do realize that in a 6 month period or less this will be obsolete as a new version will come out. What is the purpose behind this document? A PDF document should not be used for something like this, it should be a web page for a much faster load time.
Now don't get me wrong we're always looking for people to write articles for us, these questions are just something I think you should address yourself.
Hope this is helpful,
Don....

Don: Please don’t misunderstand me. I am not only new to the board, the SX50, & most importantly, to cameras/photography. I also know, from literally hours of reading posts (& very grateful for this board, as well as those experienced photographers that share their knowledge with folks like me, along with their time & effort), that are very pleased that someone is taking the previously mentioned ‘time & effort’ to write, not just about ISO’s apertures, etc., but the very basics of the SX50 & photography.
So I don’t understand your post where you nitpick over grammar, the format he chose, or why you don’t believe this is not a subject Stephen should be addressing. Again, my apologies if I am out of place, but at this point, I could care little over small mistakes in grammar, load time, or format. My main concern is that Stephen is taking the time to do this in the first place. (& yes, when it comes to cameras, talk to me like I’m a 5th grader)
He does not come off as a ‘know it all’. In fact, he asks others to chime in, pointing out any mistakes in grammar, omissions, or with any corrections. Something that Vision & others have done. (my thanks to them also)... Personally, I’m not concerned with what happens 6 months from now. I have an SX50 in my hands right now. The purpose of what he’s doing, is for folks like me... He also has a style of writing that feels as he’s speaking to me, not over my head. Why should his effort be something he should be questioning himself about?
Again, my apologies if I am out of place, but I for one, appreciate & applaud that he is doing this, along with the help of Vision & others. It’s what will allow me to enjoy the SX50, along with what it’s capable of. If this troubles you in any way, you have the freedom we all enjoy. You simply need not follow this thread... Stephen, & others contributing, thank you. I appreciate what you’re doing, & look forward to reading/learning more as you write.
