I agree that the best way is to document it all and if you do contact them to be polite but the point is they have no fix and dont admit it so where do you go from that? Do you just keep shipping the item in every 200 or so shots for a cleaning? No you either dont buy it to start with or if you do buy it you have to look at it as you are on your own. At this time they dont care and if they did they would not allow the product to keep selling with an issue. So for me I will keep posting as to what I see and yes it is getting better over time but my point is I am at over 10,000 shots and still have it so your average user may have this issue and as of right now will not have a fix. If nikon had a fix in place, proved the fix is working and responded to lensrentals and DPREVIEW, at that point you could say stop it.
