D800E + Nikkor 70-300 VR

The only problem is that a higher quality 300mm (or more) lens is significantly expensive and heavy. I'm satisfied with the 300 f/4. It's the older model so it's more compact, and it was affordable. The weight of a lens is an issue for me, so I have to compromise. I'm assuming the 180mm lens mentioned earlier is similar in image quality.

I have the Nikkor 105 micro and last week I ordered the Zeiss 21mm. I believe these are more suited to a D800E.
