Street shooters, what do you do with your photo's?

These forums have opened my eyes to the artistic and creative side to street shooting, and I can really see the value in capturing scenes when visiting different cultures and exotic places. Most of the stuff I see on here is more urban grit and unique people shooting, which I haven't climbed on board with yet.
I am curious for those that this is their main subject matter, what do you do with a hard drive full of pics of strangers, weirdo's, homeless people, rusted stuff, etc.? I can see the really good photographers selling this stuff to the right client. I am not sure what other outlet there is for this stuff? Are going to put pics of strangers in frames in your house, or that guy with a rat on his shoulder? I guess I can see if you are artsy enough and your spouse lets you.:-)
They seem more temporary gratification, like enjoy the shot, post on the web for people to see, and move on. I guess lots of shots of different subjects are like this, and nothing wrong with that. Just wondering what I'm missing?
