Best Camera of 2012: Sony you should learn for this!!!

Panny has a 150/2.8 on the way. it's not hear yet, but atleast it's on the map, something Sony hasn't accomplished.

Not really. Look at the Sigma 50-150/2.8 OS. It's not very big, nor is it overly expensive.

No but when the new OMD comes out you'll be able to use all the 4/3 glass, and the ZD 300/2.8 is a better lens than the Sony 500/4.

I think the real question here is why isn't Sony doing anything worthwhile at any sort of pace with the E-Mount, besides video cameras. At least Panny and Oly have stuff on the map while Sony, with the exception of a couple lenses, struggles to make anything worthwhile that is native to the E-Mount. Tele lenses are seriously lacking for NEX, the 55-210 is a dog optically and has little reach. The Panny 100-300 may not be a killer lens, but it is a fair bit better than the 55-210, and has far more reach as well as having a slightly faster aperture. Oly and Panny are now making cameras with as good as IQ as NEX, while at the same time having superior lenses.

NEX just needs more time to mature and Sony seems to be dragging it's heels with it. Maybe their newly found interest in Olympus will help them on this front, especially the lens area. But right now nobody has a mirrorless line that is anywhere as close to the maturity and consistency of m4/3.
