Couple of XE-1 shots where NOTHING whatsoever is in focus

No, they don't look anything at all like that. The subject matter in mine are much more recognizeable than that.

Some of you are missing the point when you suggest that the camera just missed the focus. The point is, NOTHING is in focus. I suppose it is possible that for some reason, it is focused on something maybe a few inches to a foot or two away from me, as all I can see in the images are subjects ranging from about 10 feet to infinity (all out of focus). Also of note though is that it does not look like subject matter gets more and more out of focus the further away from the camera that it gets. Rather strangely, everything from about 10 feet to infinity look equally out of focus, which would be more indicative of camera shake...but it's pretty easy to tell if that is the case and no it is not here.

I am going to shoot with OIS turned off for a bit and see what happens. What this thread is telling me though is that this problem does seem to occur from time to time on all the Fuji cameras and that I am not alone. While a minor annoyance, it does not seem to be anything real major. As one person said, 1 or 2 out of 100 shots being out of focus is not a deal breaker. I just wish I could pinpoint the cause so I could be prepared for it.
