If your other zooms are all Olys, this could be a factor favoring the 75-300. At the very least you should consider whether consistency of this function is important to you. Although some posters have indicated that they have no difficulty switching back and forth, I have found that quick and intuitive zooming with my new Pany 12-35 is impeded by my ingrained habits from all my other lenses which are Oly zooms.

Hi Lee. That wasn't something I was even aware of, but I don't think I would be bothered by it. Thanks for bringing it up though. At least I won't be surprised by it now.
