D600 is already suggested to you, so I won't suggest that

A used D700 will not cost much and your 24mm will do fine on it. I had the D700 and really liked it. Also used to own a D3s, superb handling and IQ, but way too big for amateur use like I do.

That's an idea I had in the back of my head at one time, a Nikon D700.  I'll have to see what they go for in the used market here.  That might be one way to go both routes.  Thank you very much.
