I'm thinking of selling my last SLR as well. I think that for most people (Except Pros) DSLR's are going the way of the dinosaur.

People like to think that, but any reasonable look at the camera world shows no such evidence whatsoever. SLR's outsell mirrorless by orders of magnitude.

There is no convincing evidence that a seismic shift away from SLR's is underway. None.

I disagree. Every major camera manufacturer is now offering mirrorless cameras and they are growing in popularity. The main thing sustaining the DSLR market (aside from conservatism and the reluctance to abandon an existing lens collection) is the fasterĀ focusingĀ of DSLRs, especially where moving targets are concerned.

However the success of the on-sensor phase detection of the Nikon mirrorless cameras shows that this is only a temporary advantage.

The other advantage that DSLRs have is that only they offer full frame sensors. However, that is likewise only a temporary advantage.
