Although you mentioned that 20mm isn't quite wide enough, one of the other points was that you wanted a wide angle for the times when you need one. Have you had a look at the Voigtlander 20mm F3.5? It's manual focus only, but it's of exceptional build quality, and it's also super tiny. I carry it everywhere as it's small enough to almost pocket, so it slides into the corner of my camera bag and I always have it for those moments when I need a wide. I do agree that 20mm is not really super wide, I would love to get my hands on a good 14mm, but I just felt that all of the 14mm primes in the wild at the moment have some kind of compromise in quality. Not to mention the 14-24mm is beyond my budget for a lens which I'll use sporadically. So for now I'm generally satisfied with the 20mm, and so far it has served me well, definitely check it out sometime if you come across one.
