Thats not the 7D noise in the first picture..that is noise resulting from correcting exposure from an under exposed image.. I have seen my 7D make noise in blue sky but not like that.. It only shows like that when ever I had under exposed image corrected.

You get really Grainy vertical banding. So to fix that you can use some debanding from like define2. And you could set  luma noise or color noise to 0. and it would look much better..

my ISO6400 image has less noise than that 1st image hehe

Second image looks normal. But I see some vertical streaks also needs some debanding.

But if it was to be printed even to 17x12 noise would be less visible.. and the smaller the noise will be just gone..
