Nikon 24 2.8 question

Over the next year I am shooting a series of interiors and I am looking to get a 24 prime lens.

I have a D5100 and I see the 24 2.8D and the 24 2.8AI. This is all stuff done on a tripod with bracketing and a controlled situation. I don't need the lens for anything else so I am not concerned about the AF or metering issues. Just which one gets the sharpest image.

I see alot of 24 2.8AI out there used, just wanted to get some advice from someone that may have one.
