Yes. Tokina 100 and Tamron 90 should be your starting points. They are the budget kings of the all around macro lens category.
Remember that all macros are sharp. So you have to judge by other criteria. And the most useful category to judge macros is working distance between the front of the lens and your subject.
Check out reviews at slrgear.com, photozone.de, lenstip.com, and nikongear.com (some may not have every lens reviewed). You can also look at photos and star ratings on pixel-peeper.com (be sure you cut and paste that into your browser since a miss spelling can put you somewhere where most folks do not want to go!).
Note that on Pixel-peeper.com the Tokina garners a 4.2 rating, the Tamron 90 a 4.21 rating, the Nikon 105 VR a 4.12 rating and the Sigma 105 a 4.04 rating.

I will look at the website you suggested....so is it true that you would recommend these two lenses over the 60 or 105 Nikkor? Could you share your rationale?
Also, please keep in mind I am using a DX body.
Thanks
