16-35 mm f/2.8L or prime for 60D
Jan 1, 2013

I have a Canon 60D (APS-C camera) & want to get good wide angle lens for landscape photography.  Obviously shooting w/ crop sensor camera means I'm limited here.  As I anticipate upgrading to full-frame setup at some point, I'm hesitant to sink $ into EF-S lenses (e.g., 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5).  I've shot w/ the 16-35 mm f/2.8L & LOVE it.  Obviously it's pricey, but it's on sale until Sat & I'm thinking about biting the bullet.  Thoughts on that vs prime lens?  Best option for that given my 60D setup is the 14 mm f/2.8L, but gad zooks talk about even pricier.  So I'm torn.  There's also the 24 mm prime lenses, but thinking those wouldn't be wide angle enough for my camera.  Any thoughts are appreciated.  Thanks!
