Saying Goodbye

After today's outing, I have decided to retire my S5 Pro. Just not happy with the lack of resolution anymore. Love the colors. More than that, just adore the color of this camera. But the lack of resolution is killing me.

Now the decision on what to replace it with is reaching red hot intensity. Do I retire my prized Nikkor 24mm f/1.4 lens along with it? This lens is legendary, one of the finest wide angles ever made. Sharp corner to corner with f/1.4 to boot.

If I drop my addiction to Fuji colors, and go with the Nikon D800, I get my resolution and keep the 24mm.

But my Fuji color addiction is hard to shake. Almost impossible. The X-E1 is an alternative way to go forward. But then, I have no SLR, for the first time in 25 or more years.

I've never had such an anguishing camera decision before. I'm usually pretty good picking out gear and rarely fret over it. This is uncharted territory for me.
