Have you gone through these postings and looked at some of the images taken with the SX50? That lens is the most amazing thing that has ever been put on a point-and-shoot. If the idea of a super zoom is attractive to you, there is no decision to be made. Also, it does macro down to 0mm. That's right, your subject can literally be touching the front of the lens, if you want. Now, I'm a Nikon DSLR guy, but I've ordered an SX50 just because it's so dang cool!
