Another year full of fabulous images has come to an end. I want to wish everyone here and their families a very happy New Year!

I would like everyone to spend a few minutes and post your best macro shots from 2012. Let's try to keep your total to 5 images, but more is OK. I want this thread to be full of images, so please do not post any comments for several days, say Thursday.
