Sadly Snapseed is one of the apps that cannot handle the full resolution sizes of the Galaxy Camera. It reduces them to 2304x1296 before allowing editing. This reduces my jpg file from 3.52Mb down to 742.39kb.
Hunh. On my LG mobile phone, Snapseed works at the full 2560x1920 size. Granted that's not a lot bigger — 5 mpix vs 3 — but that's all the sensor on my phone has.
I tried a photo I'd loaded onto the phone from my DSLR. It was 8 mpix (3456x2304), and Snapseed handled it just fine and stored the processed photo at 3456x2304. The file size increased from 2.7 to 3.2 MB.
